Happy Sunday! And a very good evening to you all, my dear readers. Or reader. Plural or not, I appreciate any of the traffic my website endures. 😉 How's everyone on this (chilly) evening? As I'm typing this, I'm seriously freezing my butt off inside my room. Yes, it's that cold! 🥶 It's going to be a whole lot worse once Tuesday comes, though. It'll supposedly be feeling like single digits here in NYC! Please, god, bring us back to the warmth-filled days of summer. Or spring. Either one would be fine. 😩 To make sure I stay warm in this cold spell, I did a bit of shopping yesterday morning around my area. Bought this colorful and fuzzy sweater/blouse with a new pair of jeans. I also got my bubble tea (also affectionately known as boba) that I usually get after a week's worth of work, and just enjoyed the fresh, yet cold, air. But it wasn't so cold, believe it or not. Today felt much colder, even though it was a few degrees warmer than it was yesterday. 🤷♀️ Hmm. Weird. Mother nature, man.
So I did have fun doing that bit of shopping, and I also had fun watching a new show on Netflix. I'm sure you're already aware of it - Emily In Paris. I always heard of the show, seen it publicized all over social media, but never had the chance or felt the need to watch it. Until it was Friday night and I had nothing else to do, so I decided to take the plunge and see what the hype is all about - and I'm glad I did. 😄 It's such a cute show! I know people would say it's corny, cliche, or whatever...but it's such a fun, lighthearted, and entertaining show to watch. The men of the show are such eye-candy as well, especially Emily's love interest (well, one of them anyway 🤭) Gabriel, played by actor Lucas Bravo. He's such a hottie, oh my word! 😍 Lily Collins, the actress playing Emily Cooper, is so lucky to work with such drool-worthy men. 🤤 And I love her character itself, for Emily is probably "basic" and a typical American girly-girl and whatnot, but she's got a good heart. Sure, she made a few reckless decisions in just the first season alone (particularly who she jumps right into bed with, with Gabriel as the only exception...) but she's really strong and has quite the eye for fashion. I love the outfits she wears. Her friend, Mindy, played by actress Ashley Park, is such a *hoot* to watch! So much fun. I'll be catching the second season this coming weekend, because I watched the entire first season in a day in a half, and I can enjoy watching much more knowing that I'm off from work. Because after work, after each night, I'm so beat to do much of anything. 😪 Except eat, I cannot and will not forget to eat, of course! 😅
Usually at this hour I would still be at work, but today was (finally) one of our one-shift Sundays, so I had the rest of the day to myself. I napped, I ate, and now I'm writing. And will be listening to more music and watching some TV, too. I hope this week will fly by smoothly, and I hope we can beat this harsh cold, somehow. Sigh. Wish me luck, I guess! Until later, then. Goodnight & be well! Thank you for reading!
