Good Thursday evening, guys! And once again - Happy New Year! 🥳 I did say that my next entry would be posted in the new year, so here it is, and I didn't take so long to actually put one up! Wow, I'm getting...consistent, dare I say? 🤭 I really want to try updating this blog and continuing my writing more frequently, especially now that we're in a new year, so I'd like to continue keeping up with this blog. 😁
Anyways, what's everyone been up to this week? My week has been pretty hectic, once again, but surprisingly pretty smooth. Work has been me basically doing my usual tasks of telemarketing, processing payments, and doing computer work. 🤓 We call for one specific campaign which almost always generates lots of credit cards and donations, so that's kept me pretty busy this week. I charged 123 credit cards in over an hour yesterday! And boy, it was not easy. 😪 But you know, it's always so rewarding to know that you are raising funds for such a wonderful cause - helping sick children. The more work I need to do just means there's more recipients of my hard work in raising funds in order to benefit them, so when you put it all into perspective, could I really complain? Just thinking about things in a positive light.
And speaking of positivity, I believe the world could use much more of that right about now...just not when it comes to covid tests, that is. 😅 Sigh, just when you've thought the worst of this global pandemic was behind us all, new variants are out and about, causing havoc in our everyday lives. I'm thankful to be fully vaccinated and plan on getting my booster shot in March when I'm eligible for it. It's hard to remember the times before a global pandemic wasn't in our lives, and I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever be gone. Probably not, because the flu still exists after all these years, doesn't it? So it's unrealistic to believe covid can just disappear - it could, however, be contained. I'd like to come into a time when we treat this virus as just that - a virus. You might catch it, but you take necessary precautions, and move on with your life. We all can't simply be in quarantine forever! Life must go on. It's unhealthy and impractical to isolate yourself from the world. You've only got one life to live, and even that one life goes right by you in a flash. So...I just really want things to return to a sense of a new, controlled normal once this omicron variant gets passed us. I'm wishing you all good health and safety! We will get through this. 🤝
It's supposedly going to snow in my parts of New York overnight tonight into tomorrow morning's commute to work. It's been so, so cold all week long here. 🥶 I'm already counting down each day until the spring gets here...seriously wishing for warm and calm weather to spend plenty of time outside in! 😎 This week in my world of music has been a bit slow, since the new year just started, so you've gotta give it some time for new releases to be out and all. One release that is already out, however, is from soloist AleXa. Her new song, "TATTOO", is so good! This girl has just got the entire package - looks, moves, talent, and voice. 💯 I love her looks in the video for the song, which you can check out right here in my post, below. 😉 I'm hoping you'll enjoy it! And I hope you've enjoyed tonight's post and will enjoy this upcoming weekend as well. I just can't wait to sleep this busy week off and also spend time with my boyfriend. I just need a change of scenery from seeing my workplace all week, you know? So yeah - weekends will always be welcome in my book. 😉 Let's get to it!
Goodnight and be well,
Lisa. 💜
