Happy Saturday! And oh, look, it's me again! Yes, I've managed to not update this blog in a little over a month. My intention wasn't to let it sit this way for that long, but alas, work & life always gets in the way somehow. That, and some laziness + procrastination to go with it. My apologies! But I'm back and ready to update, y'all. 😉
So, as the post's title suggests: it's been a few things since my last update. It's been the Jewish New Year, which is Rosh Hashana, so for that we say Shana Tova! and now we're into the next Jewish holiday of Sukkot, for which we wish everyone a Chag Sameach! or Happy Holiday in English. One of the perks of working for an orthodox jewish organization is that we're off from work for these major holidays. Not so much for the typical, or federal, holidays but you can't have everything I suppose. So after a pretty busy month, I'm off for a good week! My next 'vacation' won't be until next year's holiday of Passover, so I've gotta take advantage of this time off as much as possible! Which I intend to do, especially by spending more time with my family, fiance, and my pup. This month has also been a WET one, due to all the rain we've been getting here in the northeast. Yesterday was like, peak-craziness with flooding all over NYC! It's a miracle I've managed to get to and from work safely, although the subway was suspended for the remainder of the day, so I waited nearly an hour for one bus to arrive. And once it did, it was PACKED, and even more-so than usual. I was walking in legitimate puddles just to get around, and it's a good thing I had my boots on so my feet were, at least, dry enough. Ugh, and these were apparently remnants of Hurricane Ophelia which touched down in the south, so I couldn't imagine having had the actual storm upon us. Yeah, you could tell I'm an east coast gal, can't you? 😝
Anyway, what are my plans for today? Well, staying as dry as possible but also going outside for my weekend Starbucks run, because a girl's gotta have her pink drink on a Saturday morning, am I right?! 😜 I'll also be with my fiance for the next couple of days so I look forward to that very much! Music-wise, lots of releases have come out over the past month, but the two releases I'm currently hooked on are from Kep1er & XG. I'll link the videos below so you could enjoy them for yourselves! And yeah, that's basically my recap of things. I plan to have a 'chill' break and hope the weather brightens up along with it. I'll be sure to post again real soon, and with more releases to come, I'll have lots more to say as well! So please, wait for me. ☺ Everyone, be safe and stay dry out there!
