Another blog entry for tonight! Hi again, everyone. It's me - Lisa!
One of the aspects of this blog will primarily be based around my love of music - and that music, in particular, is Korean Pop music. AKA "K-Pop". I have been an avid listener & follower of KPOP for about 5 years now. Once you're pulled in, you won't get out! Seriously. 😜 This week in kpop brings two comebacks of artists that I love very much - soloist Jeon Somi & rookie girl group 'weeekly'.
SOMI, as we all affectionately call her, has released two singles prior to this new one, being "DUMB DUMB". It apparently is labeled as the pre-release to her highly anticipated debut album, which is expected to be released later this year. I have had this song on repeat (well, not consistently...but close enough!) since it came out on Monday. I absolutely LOVE it! ❤ Somi *always* manages to get these insanely catchy songs, and this one's no different. Plus, the choreography seems to be her most intricate yet. I'm impressed, immensely! Definitely check out the adorable music video for it...and her beautiful princess-like dress + that (beautiful) red outfit! She is such a doll.
Next up is girl group, 'weeekly'. Theyve6debuted last year in June 2020 and have been releasing such cute songs ever since! What's funny is that I listen to these girls, who are all younger than me by more than 10 years, and I *instantly* start feeling like a teenager again! But then reality hits and I start feeling like an oldie...😅 These girls definitely redefine what it means to be young! The new track from their new mini-album is titled "Holiday Party". Just when you think they couldn't top their previous (and addictive!) title track, "After School", they have managed to do so yet again. 🤗 I love the choreography, which is a bit new for them considering they aren't incorporating props into their routine like previously, but at the same time it all gives off a more "mature" feeling. Monday's new hairstyle is GORGE. 😍 Zoa's new hair color really shows off her *striking* visuals even more! And Jihan is our cutie-pie once again. Check out the music video right away so we can all get our summer holiday parties going!
