A fulfilling *and* engaging summer week. 🤗

TGIF! It's Friday, once again! And here I am, on my last Friday of this summer vacation of mine. Where has the time gone?! Although I need to emphasize that I did everything I wanted to during this time. I have such a feeling of contentment and I'm absolutely grateful for that. However, I can only sleep-in and be away from my work duties for so long...so it's time to bid "farewell" to laziness & say "hello" to routine! Because, after all, life can't run as smoothly without it. 😉

So, I've had such a fun week! It all began with this past Sunday when I travelled to Ronkonkoma to visit some of my boyfriend's family and friends. We had a lovely time! We all just instantly bonded and schmoozed as if I have known them for years! Everytime I'm out in the suburbs of New York, and away from the hustle & bustle of the city, I'm enthralled with the greenery and scenery of our local counties. What also took place during that road-trip of ours was this beautiful piece of jewelry...

YES, I'M ENGAGED! So the boyfriend has 'transformed' into the fiancé and I couldn't be any more excited about it. 🥰 We actually picked out and purchased the ring back in May and were waiting for the perfect time to present it. And especially as I was off from work for a bit, and was surrounded by loved ones, it was definitely the most fitting time for it to have occurred. I love rose gold jewelry and was instantly drawn to the ring the moment I laid eyes on it. And of course, I've been in love with my fiancé since the moment we met back in October of 2020 and I'm just so excited for us to spend the rest of our lives together! When you know, you know. And when it's the right one for you, these milestones in your life & relationship all simply fall into place at the right time. I feel extremely blessed. 💓

On Monday, we then ventured into Manhattan and finally got to watch the Barbie movie! He only went along with seeing it because I wanted to, but we both ended up genuinely enjoying the film afterwards. I thought Margot Robbie was the picture-perfect Barbie and Ryan Gosling has got the comedic chops from here 'til tomorrow! As a lover of pink, myself, I adored the cinematography of the film and how bright & cheerful everything appeared to be. And believe it or not, for a film based on a children's doll, it has demonstrated such a deep & empowering message, very fitting for our generation and with the current social climate we're experiencing. I, for one, can absolutely see why it's crossed the one-billion mark already. Kudos to all who were involved in bringing this movie, and doll, to life!

The rest of my week then consisted of me hanging & chilling around at home. I managed to get my fourth pink drink of my vacation from Starbucks, grab another mango green tea bubble tea, and had some delicious pork dumplings for lunch! And I haven't had dumplings in quite some time. 😋 It was also another fun week for kpop with new releases by JO YURI & JEON SOMI and I'm sure this coming week will see some more fantastic releases as well. 😊 I also changed my header on the blog to this new teaser image of aespa's upcoming english-release, "Better Things", and isn't the tropical concept simply the best?! And this image is of the gorgeous Karina. Who is looking as stunning as ever. ❤ Will be looking forward to their release!

Alright, I suppose I've written much more than I should have, but you know you just can't stop as the words simply flow off your mind and onto the screen. The writer in me is to blame for that, I guess. 😝 I'll report back next week after my first week back at work is complete! And I hope you'll all have a restful weekend and a lovely week ahead. 🤗 Goodnight and be well!

xoxo Lisa
